A large town house with garden situated at the heart of the Garrotxa volcanic region in the peaceful town of Riudaura. The house dates from the 18th century and has been recently restored to offer modern comforts while respecting the original design of the property. Behind the house is a large garden with barbecue, sun beds, and a Jacuzzi for 5. A fence then separates the lawn where there is a swimming pool (5m x 4.5m) incorporating a wave machine. Five minute from the house is children’s playground with swings, slides and a basketball court.

As the house is built on an incline the lower part leads straight onto the garden. In this area a toilet, a small kitchen and dining-room facilitating meals outside in the garden. At street level there is a garage with washing machine and tumble dryer. On entering there is a small room where you will find information on the region, an interior Jacuzzi, a bathroom with three showers and a separate toilet. On the first floor there is a sitting room with two futons which can be used as extra beds, three double bedrooms and a toilet. In the highest part of the house there is a dining-room with a large dining table, fireplace, TV, sound system and DVD player. To one side of this room is the kitchen equipped with hob, oven, microwave and dishwasher. Countryside, gastronomy, rest and relaxation are the main attractions of the Garrotxa region. The property is situated in Riudaura, a popular little town thanks to its proximity to the national park home the region’s famous volcanoes, of which there are more than 40 to visit. Also worth a visit is the town of Les Preses, on the extreme western side of the national park. Also standing out is the green route that uses the path laid by the old railway that used to join Olot with Girona, a perfect opportunity to enjoy the lush scenery and picturesque towns of St Feliu de Pallerols, Planes d’Hostoles and Bescanó.
