Mas Genesta - Palamós

19th Century farmhouse situated near the town of Vall-Llobrega in the region of Baix Empordà. The house has a large garden with a swimming pool (with Roman steps), a lawn with fruit trees with a shaded area for picnics and barbecues. In the garden you will find a room dedicated to games and table tennis which is also used to keep the hammocks and the extra beds. You will also find the washing machine, a toilet and a shower room here.

The house has two floors. Downstairs you enter through a typical Catalan arched hallway. There is an authentic kitchen equipped with microwave, coffee machine and a toaster. There is also a living room with fireplace, TV, and a large dining table. Upstairs there are 2 double bedrooms, 2 twin bedrooms and 2 complete bathrooms.

The best beaches on the Costa Brava (platja del Castell, Palamós, Platja d'Aro) are only 4km from the house. On the Platja del Castell there are remains of an old Iberian settlement. You should visit the picturesque Costa Brava towns of Pals, Calonge, Llafranc and Calella. If you are looking to do a bit of exercise, excursion by bike or foot around the Sierra de Gavarres is a good option. You should also try to visit the capital of the province, Girona, which is famous for its cathedral and its Jewish quarter.
