Riudabella - Vimbodí

The lodging is a part of an old 12th century castle, surrounded by woods and vineyards. It is totally restored but keeping its old structure, located on a hillside with a magnificent view over the valley and the properties of the castle. It had once been the cellar of the Monastery of Poblet. There is a spectacular Roman cistern 25m x 15m which has been converted into a swimming pool and uses water from a natural spring The swimming pool is 50m from the house where you will also find a covered barbecue area and a jacuzzi. The swimming pool , the barbecue and the jacuzzi are shared with another apartment for two. The lodging is located on the third floor of the castle.

The lodging is decorated with antique furniture that was property of the castle. There is a living room with a TV and a fireplace, a well equipped kitchen with a washing machine, one double room, two twin rooms and a bathroom. Central heating.

It is an ideal area for practising activities in the open air such as horse or biking. You can also buy and taste home-made products, do the Cistercian route of the monasteries of Poblet, Santes Creus and Vallbona de les Monges, which are only 3 km. away. It is also recommendable to visit Montblanc, the capital town of the region, with its medieval art and buildings, or the city of Tarragona with its roman ruins, only 50 km. away. The theme park of Port Aventura is also very close.
