Els Pins - Cabrils

This house dates from the beginning of twentieth century. Originally a stone construction now conserves stone details around windows and doors adding charm to the washed walls. Surrounded by valleys and mountains typical of the coastal region of El Maresme, the house has a large fenced garden (2100m2) distributed in three areas; an ornamental area at the entrance (typical of the early 20th century) with pond and benches, a lawn area with barbecue where the fenced swimming pool is located (10m x 5m) and a third area designated to games (badminton, volleyball etc.).

The house is spacious and comfortable with decoration and furniture dating from the early twentieth century. Distributed on two floors the ground floor consists of dining-room, fully equipped kitchen/ dining-room with electric oven, microwave, fridge-freezer, dishwasher and washing machine. There is also a twin bedroom and a bathroom (with shower). There are two pleasant porches on either side of the house, one giving onto the swimming pool with all the necessary garden furniture. On the first floor four double bedrooms and a twin bedroom. There are two further bathrooms and a living room with TV. Central heating.

This coastal area is sheltered from the northern winds by the coastal mountain range and offers a moderate Mediterranean climate and vivid landscapes. Only 30km from Barcelona it is a peaceful place to spend a few days break while at the same time being able to take advantage of Barcelona’s many attractions. The region’s capital, Mataró also has much to offer including the Basilica of Santa Maria, modernist houses of Puig I Cadafalch, the regional museum and plenty of shopping. There is a wide choice of beaches in this area: Vilassar, Llavaneres and Arenys de Mar, an important fishing port with a good tradition of seafood restaurants.
