L'Escola de Palau - Palau de Rialb

The house is a part of a small village, Palau de Rialb, it is about a village formed by country houses spread along the territory, where is situated the ancient school, nowadays restored for rural tourism, a splendid Romanic church: Santa María de Palau de Rialb, and a large square where the local population get together to celebrate local festivals. This little village is surrounded by deep forest and meadows. Near there is a quiet stream where is possible to go for a swim.

The lodging is placed on the first floor, in the same ambience there is the living-room with a nice fireplace, the dining room and the kitchen equipped with microwave, fridge and electric oven. There are two double rooms, one with one bed and one with two single beds. The bathroom is divided in two, one with a sink and a shower and one with sink and a toilet. The sofa becomes in a double extra bed. Central heating.Washing machine. Garden furniture.

Palau de Rialb belongs to the municipally of Baronia de Rialb; This area has a quite rough relief, streams, meadows and forest. The local economy is based on farming. This land had a great historical value until the end of the XIVth Century, shown by the plenty of hermitages and Romanic churches, up to 24.
